Lieutenant Colonel Paul Scott Drury

Lieutenant Colonel Paul Scott Drury is currently assigned as the U.S. Army Congressional Liaison for Intelligence in Washington, D.C., where he coordinates with House and Senate Intelligence and Armed Services Committees of the U.S. Congress, as directed by the Secretary of the Army.

In 1984, while a junior at Henderson County Senior High School, Drury enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve. Following his graduation from Georgia Military College, he was commissioned in the Army as a Military Intelligence Officer.

Drury’s career in the Army has garnered him assignments such as the 151st Military Intelligence Battalion (Aerial Exploitation); 4th Psychological Operations Group; U.S. Army Special Operations Command; 310th Theater Support Command; U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command; U.S. Army Pacific; Multi-National Security Transition Command Iraq; and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Lieutenant Colonel Drury was selected to serve as an Army Congressional Fellow with Congressman Mike Rogers (MI) in the first Session of the 111th Congress for FY 2009. He has held various other positions including Tactical Intelligence Officer; Detachment Command; Battalion Operations Officer; Deputy Chief of Programs for Counterintelligence; Chief, Special Technical Operations and Special Access Programs; Deputy Chief, Strategic Plans; Chief, Force Protection/Anti-Terrorism Intelligence; Adjunct Counterintelligence Instructor, FBI Academy; Task Force Counterintelligence Control Authority; and Director of Intelligence. He has been twice-selected for Battalion Command. His deployments and duties have taken him to Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Haiti, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Israel, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Colombia, and several other locations worldwide.

LTC Drury holds a Master of Science in Computer Resource and Information Management from Webster University and a Master of Strategic Intelligence from the National Defense Intelligence College. His military education also includes the JFK Special Warfare Center Middle East Studies Program, Counterintelligence Special Agent Course, CIA Denial and Deception Advanced Studies Program, FBI Counterintelligence Investigations and Operations Course, Combined Arms General Staff College, and the Post Graduate Intelligence Program. Military Functional-Area certifications include Counterintelligence, Information Operations, Information Systems Management, Strategic Intelligence, and Psychological Operations. He has recently been selected to attend the Army War College.

Some of the awards and military decorations which Paul has earned include the Army Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Staff Badge, the United States Presidential Unit Citation, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Republic of the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, and the Combat Action Badge.

Lieutenant Colonel Drury is the proud father of two daughters, Anna 9, and Allison, 7.
