Although the process to make minor corrections to Admiral Husband E. Kimmel’s statue took a little longer than expected, the Admiral is back on the Henderson Riverfront at the Four Flags Freedom monument. Corrections to the statue were made in-house by sculptor Raymond Graf. It had been earlier anticipated that the statue would have to be sent to the foundry in Atlanta, but Graf was able t make the necessary adjustments at his studio in Louisville, Kentucky. Thanks again to the City of Henderson and particularly the Parks and Recreation Department for their assistance in the placement of the statue.
Just to let you know, Memorial Bricks are still available at the Kimmel Plaza. Bricks are $100 each and can include up to three lines of print with no more that 16 characters per line (spaces count as characters). This is a wonderful way to honor a friend or loved one.
